buying ram from owc?

my macbook 7.1 is capable of upto 4gb of ram according to apple but at owc for my mac i see i can buy 8gb of ram whats going on?
 
The chipset supports bigger RAM chips than Apple will supply, just make sure it's on the latest EFI firmware update.

OWC know what they are doing with Mac RAM.
