Ok I am about to buy the 2.0 GHz white MB CD2 and I want 2 GB RAM in it. Because they increased the RAM to 1GB is it better to pay the $175 and upgrade through Apple right off the bat or to get the 1 GB model and upgrade to 2GB through crucial/new egg.

IMO, it is better to upgrade through Apple to 2 GB becuase it is only an additional $175 whereas on NewEgg you'll be paying $269 or so for 2 1GB sticks of RAM.

Just wanted confirmation of this so I know I'm not overlooking something.

TIA!

well if its cheaper from Apple, you can't go wrong!

It will mean you won't have to swap the RAM should you need to take it in for a service, which will save you a bit of hassle.
