I am set to buy a refurb iPod and I am wondering what I should do about Applecare. The Applecare cost is 1/3 the cost of the iPod. I am planning on light use. No mountain biking, jogging or the like. Do you have to buy the Applecare at the same time as the iPod, or can it be bought at a later time as long as it is still under the original 1 year warranty period? Thank you in advance for any enlightenment you may be able to provide.

As long as it is bought within the first year of owning the ipod you can buy the apple care any time. Its a great deal, even if you don't plan on using your ipod with heavy use.

Thanks. I thought I had read that elsewhere, but just needed confirmation.
