Buying Refurbished Macbook Pro abroad?

Is it worth getting a refurbished Macbook Pro from the States if I live in the Philippines? It's really a lot cheaper and I just wondered if the Apple Limited Warranty could work internationally. I still think I'll wait for the MBP update though.

As far as I remember the warranty on all apple laptops is international so you should have no problems. When you take it back to the Philippines with you, you will have to be careful to be discreet so that you don't have to pay any import taxes.
