Hello everyone, I've the first gen Iphone, but I'm planning to sell it on ebay to buy the new one. The problem is that I dont have Att and I dont want to have a new 2 year contract. Can I buy a Iphone with no in store activation? and how much would it be? thank you.

no, you cannot buy an iphone without signing an ATT contract, and unless the servers are down, you will have to activate in store.

And if I buy it and make a new contract can I paid the 200 fee to cancel the contract and the phone is mine... or not?

I was in an AT&T store yesterday - they said that if you cancel before the 30 days are up, you have to return the phone and pay a 10% restocking fee. After 30 days you pay the ETF and the phone is yours. I think that the ETF is $175.

I didn't ask if you could pay the ETF within the first 30 days - but I assume so.

Thanks for the answer... I think I'll try to find one iphone next week.
