so when the new notebooks are announced on the 14th. we can expect them in the store by the end of the week or by the week after. my question is if I order online and choose next-day shipping, do you think that I will get my notebook the same time as when the apple store gets them. If I am really lucky, they would arrive earlier. Has anyone gotten a notebook earlier than when the apple store gets them?

This depends on whether the announcement is only that, or if it's a release as well. For all we know, they could be in stores that day (at least in Apple stores).

If it's an announcement only, probably online will be your best bet. That's what I'm planning.
