I am planning on buying the Series 3 Apple Watch Sport with GPS and Cellular however I have no intention of ever using cellular as I'm never anywhere without my iPhone. Is it possible for me to buy the watch without having to add it to a plan or something? I don't want to run into any issues when I pre-order it on the 15th. Are you required to pay for service for the watch or can I buy it without adding it to my plan and using it as though it didn't have cellular?

I'm after the ceramic back and extra storage space, and plus, should I ever want to use cellular down the road, I can just add it to my plan. That's the idea, anyways. Ideally the watch will last me for a few years as did my S0 so I'm after the best S3 I can get. Anyone else doing this? Will I run into any problems? Do I have to add the watch to my AT&T plan when I purchase it or is this something that's done after?

It's my understanding that all the watches in a country are the same and can operate unactivated.

I'm thinking of doing the same. I still have my day 1 S0, so I'd like to get one and plan to use it for a long time. I'm thinking I'll get LTE as you can't upgrade the watch later. I would love to get the black/gray ceramic Edition, but I can't see spending that much. I really want black, but I already have a stainless Milanese, so it might be nice to get the silver aluminum so it goes a bit more with this band. Though I think the black would go ok with it too.
