Buying used Apple Software:: How to Verify?

I am looking to buy some used apple software (aperature) and wanted to know how I can make sure that the serial is legit / will transfer to me when I buy it. Is their a number to call when I meet the guy?

As long as you get the original CD, CD key and the original certificate of authentication (or similar) then it is yours.

When those are in your possesion then it is legal for you to run it and illegal for him to run it (although he still can).
