Hey Everyone! I am purchasing a used 32gb Ipad 3G today. Do I need to do anything with the SIM card? The person who I am buying it from suggested that I would need to stop by an AT&T store and get a new Sim card but they weren't too sure. Thanks for any help!

I believe you'd want a new SIM. I would not sell a device with my SIM in it.

If he includes the SIM, great. If he doesn't stop by an AT&T store.

Nothing with it other than the usual ipad stuff; charger, cable, box, sim-tray extraction tool. No big deal about the latter, a paperclip will do.

Some folks are finicky about selling a device with a SIM in it -- understandable on a phone, not such a big deal with an ipad IMHO.

Thanks for the help everyone! Does AT&T charge for the SIM card? Also, can the ipad be used without one (just not the 3G)? I doubt I will have time to stop at an AT&T store tonight.

Went to AT&T store and picked up the sim card....very simple.....this thing is great!
