I am getting a used iphone 3g on friday.

Is there anything I should check and make sure if working before I buy it.

Such as anything that typlically can go wrong with an iphone.

If so can i have like a checklist of stuff to check on it.

I will be using this with tmobile eventually using a turbosim card.

1. Take a flashlight and peek into the headphone jack. Look at the very bottom of the inside of the jack. Is it red? If so, don't buy it. It's been exposed to water. With the same flashlight, check the connector at the bottom. Look closely and make sure there's no corrosion.

2. Check for light leaks, cracks, and scuffs along the corners, to make sure it hasn't been abused too much.

3. Check all buttons and switches to make sure they work, and check the touch screen to make sure it doesn't have any dead spots.

4. If you can, eject the sim and make sure the tray is in good shape, not broken or cracked.

That's all I can think of right now.
