buying "used" software

Hey I was looking around on Craigslist and there were some good mac software deals on titles such as FCP and Aperture. I was just wondering what your guys perspective was on buying used software off a site like craigslist.

If it's a really good deal on CL it's almost certainly a copy.

Just wondering, did you ever buy the "used" software? I noticed on craigslist there are tons of software at a really discount price, seems too good to be true. Just wondering if this is a scam...

a lot of mac software doesn't have a copy protection (like iLife, iWork), so you could theoretically install the app on dozens of macs, so these things could work. Although I think the more expensive software is licensed (like FCP and such and such)

Only if you're an ethical person. Most likely they have a cracked version and just made a dupe of it.
