Buying used Thunderbolt Display, how to test?

Buying a used 27" Thunderbolt display tonight, is there any good way to test it?

I'll have my rMBP with me so any simple tests I should run with it?

Is there a built in test mode on the display to run to make sure all is good with it?

at a retail store or off craigslist? If its from say bestbuy, just simply use it and run the usual dead pixel tests/etc.
