Buying Used vs. New?

Anyone have any experience buying a used iPhone?

Were you happy with it, or do you wish you bought brand new?

I found a 8Gb one available for $300CDN should I get it?

I've been on the fence waiting forever until the phone came up here to canada but it just doesn't seem like it ever will?...
