Hello,

I need Windows for some things so am planning on buying the 200$ home premium version and running it through boot camp.

My main problem with this is that I'm getting a new Mac in about a month. Will I have to buy another version to run Windows on the new Mac as well?

Thanks,
Jacob

no.

use serial key.

In my experience, I haven't had any problems installing Windows 7 on the last three Macs I've had. The OEM version of XP I had a while back made me call Microsoft to activate it on a different machine than it was first used on, but the license is different on the OEM than the full version. Still, they didn't hassle me and activated for me over the phone. You should be fine.

You shouldn't have an issue using the serial on the new computer. You can always call Microsoft if it doesn't want to activate online and get it done that way.
