I am currently in the market for a new MacBook Pro. Getting the newest model isn't important to me as much as the specs (i7, 8GB, 512GB). I know the new models are most likely coming out in March and I plan on waiting until then to see if I can scoop up a current model MacBook Pro for a good deal. I'm just curious where I'd be looking for these deals. There has to be some website or place that sells these things at a good discount.

If anyone can give me some information on this it would be much appreciated. This will prepare me for when the time to purchase has come.

B&H, Adorama, and MacMall usually have older models in stock after the new one comes out.

B&H is good. Apple refurbs are a second option.

You can also check on ebay for used and new closeout models.

I just happened to find a really good deal on a 2015: 8 gb/256gb 13" retina macbook pro for $1K. It came with microsoft office pre-installed along with 3 years applecare.

Did you find that on eBay?

I did. I saved a ton of money.

I will say, however, that the computer has a few nicks and scratches. They don't stand out like a sore thumb per se, but they are there.
