There is a faint buzzing sound emanating from the bottom of the right speaker when I'm gaming in Windows 7 x64.

It doesn't subside when I mute the speakers but when I press down on the part from where the sound seems to be emanating, it goes away, although it retains when I relieve the pressure.

What could be malfunctioning? Thanks!

I am using a pre-unibody Early 2008 MBP.

Fan or processor whine could be it. Also, the screen backlight whines on the windows side of things when it's not maxed out.

Update your video card drivers to the official nvidia drivers and this will fix the whine from the backlight. Also when bootcamp 3.1 came out, I did a fresh install and have not had any backlight whine. I defeinitely heard it with 3.0 though.
