Is there a way that allows you to download or use an App that is not controlled by Apple so you don't have to go to Preferences-Privacy and check "anyone"?Thought there were some keystrokes allowing you to choose a developer w/o does the password thing each time.

You can right click on the app then click open and it will give you a warning. Bypass the warning and the app will launch for the first time. Subsequent launches will be normal without this requirement.
