If you know Java and C, C++ should be a snap to pick up. Java is basically C++ minus a few features they considered redundant / unsafe.

LOL you will not learn C++ in a week. You are doomed to failure if you think that is the case. Sure you can write C++ programs that compile and even work correctly but they will at best be slow and you still won't know C++. Good things take time.

Hi
I am familiar with Python, a little with Objective-C and Java, and know programming theory. Need to learn C++ in a week - is this book good, or if not, any other suggestions? Don't want anything that's too steep a learning curve.
