I have recently purchased an optical bay PSU. This PSU uses a female molex port to sync with the main PSU. However, since my MAC pro uses SAS cables in the optical bay, I need a female SAS to male molex adapter. Does anyone know wher I can find this, as I am only able to find the opposite version, Thanks.

SATA cables are too narrow. The optical bay uses the really wide cables, I think they're called SAS. Thanks for the quick reply though.

SAS and SATA connectors are interchangeable because they are indeed the same. The ODD port uses standard SATA backplane ports, nothing special there.
Pic one of the cables from amazon, believe me, they will fit.

Will fit into a cord that looks just like the wide part of this?:

I dont understand how, but if someone confirms, I'll just buy it and see for my self.

No, that one won't fit. You need a male SATA connector to Molex, like this one:

First item on the Amazon list I linked above.

The SATA/SAS cable in the optical bay is male though. It's what plugs into the optical drive. It's data and power in one cable, and I need it to connect to the molex on the PSU.

I'm well aware of the Mac Pro's internals and I also know what you're trying to achieve.

This another adapter that WILL DEFINITELY FIT if you don't want to have the extra molex extension.
