Hi. I found this info on how to get my macbook to record from the cable box:

But to do it you need to download firewire sdk. Does anyone know where I can get this besides the apple site? I tried to register but ran into technical problems-I had to walk away, started the registration over and now it won't take the info-says id already taken. I contacted them but that may take awhile.

Isn't there anywhere else to get it? I mean it is a free download. So far all I've found outside of Apple are much older versions.

Never Mind, I got it.

Does anyone know if this thing will work with a scientific Atlanta comcast cable box? I see a port on front but I can't be sure it's the right kind. The manual is no help as it doesn't match the box (even though it's the right manual.)
