I've been using a black box Motorola Modem from Charter for our internet and have had many problems with it dropping our connection. Charter has switched us to an Ambit U10C18 but I'd like to but my own. Any suggestions for a small compact cable modem that is Mac OSX friendly and has a good reliable track record. A friend suggested the Linksys CM100 and said to look at the Motorola lines but they have a lot of models and one that works well with a Mac is essential. My Thanks S1

Pretty much any cable modem works with PC or Mac so that doesn't really matter.

The Motorola SurfBoard 5101 are nice and affordable. I have one and haven't had any problems with it. Most of the time when your internet connection drops is not due to the cable modem, it's mainly Charters end.
