Alright guys, I am really sorry if this is a noob question: Which cable do I need if I want to connect an hdmi screen to my MBA? From a casual search my assumption is a Mini-DP-to-HDMI cable, since Thunderbolt is based on minidp, and because I couldn't find any explicit "tb-to-hdmi" cables...

But then again I have this nagging suspicion that I am missing something really simple...

Thanks!

Your assumptions are correct. Mini Display to HDMI is the right cable. Fits in the Thunderbolt port.

I got mine for $3.34 off of amazon here. It does sound and video perfectly, and the product picture doesn't do the adapter justice. It's comparable to the OEM white mac finish and matches other peripherals perfectly (not dark as pictured).
