I'm upgrading to a 17 Pro soon (from an 11 Pro) and will need new charging cables. For years, I've used Anker cables and have liked them mostly. Early ones didn't last long but I feel the ones I have now are almost as old as my iPhone.

Comparing Anker to Apple pricing... Apple's are $20 for 1 meter, $30 for 2 meter. Anker's range from $5 to $35. Price... they're almost the same.

But what about quality? Apple's early cables didn't last long but are these new woven cables more durable?

I bought a couple of the 240w Apple cables when they went on sale a few months back and they’re great, but substantially thicker than the one you’ll get in the box.

Like the other poster mentioned, try the braided cable that comes in the box. If you like it, the Beats cables are going to be the most similar cable you can buy.

Anker are much better than the Apple ones. Apples cables still tend to break where the cable meets the connector.

Is this happening with the newer, cloth cables? I really like the ones I have.
I've been using the braided USB-C to USB-C Apple cable that came with my M4 iPad for over a year now, including frequently using the tablet while it is charging, and it hasn't frayed or broken yet. In my experience MUCH more durable than the old non-braided USB to Lightning ones were.

I wish to have a chance to try cable from 3rd party brands, but the cable coming along with my iphone 14 pro nearly 3 years old for now is still working fine

Yeah I'm liking the Apple branded USB-C cables. And Walmart, for whatever reason, has them on sale if you buy them online. I'm very tempted to pick up a few extra but that just seems like a waste of money. For the shorter ones, I think you need to buy extra items to get free pickup. Just to make life a little easier, I guess I can buy 2 long and one short.

ETA... looks like they have the dual 35W charger for $39, $20 off. I don't know if that's the best deal but I'd be able to charge iPhone and Apple Watch in my bedroom. Living room needs one to charge iPhone and MacBook.

I love Anker Zolo braided cables

Flexible, durable, and small connector for cases that have small cut out.

They’re a few bucks off on Amazon right now for early Black Friday
