I hadn't emptied my cache in a long time, under library>cache>safari...it was around 577 mb. IS that big?
I emptied it and it is still reading being nearly that same size. Am I missing something?
Reset safari maybe? Been getting the spinning ball of death past few days.

Thanks

There is no such path. As there are many cache files on your system, be specific about which path you're referring to. Also, be specific about what method you're using to empty a cache.

Not really. It depends on how long you've been surfing and what kind of sites.

Resetting Safari is how you empty your cache files. That's one of the options when you reset Safari.
Been getting the spinning ball of death past few days.

Well, I reset safari.
Repaired disk permissions and then weirdest thing happened after that...
The mac just shutdown/powered off when I started to perform a task. Went black. At first I thought power strip was turned off, it went down that quick.

Should I next reset the PRAM you think?

PRAM/NVRAM has nothing to do with power, charging or battery issues. If it shuts off again, reset the SMC. Also, make sure your battery is properly calibrated. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:
