Calculator Widget clears after closing Notification Center

When using the calculator wodget in Notification Center, it automatically clears the numbers after you close the notification center. It would be useful if it didn't clear the numbers. Is there a way to have the calculator keep the number?

My macOS calculator remembers for a short time, but then yes, it clears. It's probably a bug, but I'm on Mojave still, so fixing it probably isn't a priority for Apple. I would suggest a third-party calculator, like PCalc. It's worth it.
