In November of 2018 I bought a CalDigit T4 Thunderbolt RAID drive directly from the manufacturer. It's connected directly to iMac 5k (2017) via Thunderbolt 3 cable. I noticed that sometimes when I try to wake up my iMac from sleep, after a long pause my iMac would shutdown and then restart, with an error message "Your computer was restarted because of problem". Neither NVRAM nor SMC resets would fix this issue.
I contacted CalDigit support, and then they sent me a replacement case. I moved all four drives to the new case but in just a couple of hours, my iMac again shutdown and restarted by itself when I tried to awake the machine. Again, neither NVRAM nor SMC resets corrected this issue.
Has anyone had similar issues with CalDigit T4 or any other external hard drive (arrays)?
