Curious if anyone else has experienced this issue. In the last few months, I noticed if I bump against the table where the TS3+ dock is, I get a blank screen for 5 seconds.
The root cause appears to be a loose Thunderbolt port where I’ve plugged in a USB-C to two DisplayPort adapter (needed for my old Dell UP217K 5K display). I got another adapter, and it is also loose in the port. So a bump to the table causes the connector to jiggle in the port.
I don’t unplug and plug back in the cable, really at all, so not sure why it would become lose after a couple of years. Now, I do have the dock mounted vertically on the side of the table, with the cables facing down. Perhaps gravity over time pulled on the cable in the connector sufficiently to loosen it?
