I want to connect my two LG 27" 4K 60Hz monitors to my M1 Pro 14" MBP using one TB cable. I plan to connect one monitor by USB-C, and the other by DisplayPort (both cables coming from the dock).

M1 Pro 14" > Thunderbolt cable > Dock
> USB-C cable > Monitor 1
> DisplayPort cable > Monitor 2

Is the TS3 Plus or the TS4 best for this? I've noticed that some people are complaining about flickering displays and other issues using these Docks, are these issues still common? Is one dock less buggy than the other? Thanks.

I can only comment on using a TS4 (MBP Max to Studio Display) but I'm having no issue with screen flickering using it in the way you describe (single cable to TS4 then out to monitor), but I'm only using the one screen. I've had no issues at all with the TS4 in the past 2 weeks it's been used and I've got 2 external hard drives and ethernet connected.
