I have a CalDigit TS3 Dock that I've been using for quite some time with a 16-inch MacBook Pro. I just switched to an M1 MacBook Air and am using the same dock with the same attached peripherals (1TB USB 3 HDD, Ethernet cable, and an LG 27-inch 4K monitor hooked up through DisplayPort).

The dock works just fine when I'm at my computer (the display lid is closed with the dock attached, sitting upright on a vertical stand), but when I leave and my monitor turns off after 10 minutes, it will keep cycling between powering on and power off the dock, and hence the display. So I'll be in my bedroom, but will hear my monitor beep every 30 seconds to a minute as it keeps cycling back and forth. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

I went to Settings and tried fiddling around with these options to no avail:

I'm kind of at a loss as to where to go from here. I need the HDD plugged in whenever it's docked (Time Machine Backups and other stuff), so I'm just wondering what to do.

The blue LED on my CalDigit dock keeps coming on when my M1 Mac mini is “sleeping,” but the monitor doesn't power up. Connected SSDs do activate. I assume it’s something to do with M1 Macs working more like iOS devices, and doing stuff while they are asleep.
