CalDigit's Raid Solutions

Hi guys, I have seen a lot of recommendations for Lacie drives which are probably great for the consumer teir but there are a lot of pros here who push a lot of data in their work. I Googled up Raid Enclosures and CalDigit is one outfit that popped up. Needless to say anyone who is familiar with them know they're hardcore/heavyweights so what's the opinion on these. I'm looking to get their bare enclosures, particularly the 5 bay Raid enclosure.

It looks like overkill for most and even for me but it does come in a convenient package and could foresee it the solution to my storage need for many years to come. Much like the rationale of the Mac Pro; overkill presently but would be ideal if you intend on keeping it for years to come.

So any thoughts?
