Calendar Alert Disappeared - Yosemite

Alas, the woes of Yosemite keep mounting.

A Calendar alert I had set came up for me as I was about to type a comment in my browser. Soon as I started typing my comment, the alert disappeared, without me clicking neither Close nor Snooze.
