Not sure where to post this, but I need some help please!!!

My wife has her own business and uses her iPad and new Iphone 6 as her “golden” calendar. In the past we all shared the same Apple ID and I had to not sync anything via icloud because it would mess up her calendar and contacts. We both got new phones on Friday and I decided to create a separate Apple ID for myself. I got everything updated I think and I noticed that it still has us on the same iCloud. Is that right???? It never asked me to create a new iCloud. I think our calendars and contacts are synced to our Apple ID’s right????

Anyway, onto the main issue she is having…. For her work she has to color code her appointments because they can all be different. Well the only way I see to do that on Apple’s calendar app is to “create” a new calendar, which then allows you to change the color of the appointment. But now when she creates a new appointment on her phone it’s not showing on her iPad.

And before anyone asks….. Yes, in the settings, we have the calendar sync turned on for icloud and for Calendars.

The weird thing is that when she creates an appointment and doesn’t change it to be different than the standard “email calendar color”, it seems to work.

So something in the process of creating the new Apple ID, sharing the same iCloud, or updating to IOS8, caused the calendar to stop sharing perfectly.

Hope all of this makes some sense. Please help. Ask questions if needed. I will be checking the thread a lot today.
