Calendar App that syncs between 2 Apple IDs??

My husband has an iPad and I have and iPhone5, each with their own Apple IDs. I am wondering if there is an app that we could each download that would enable us to add things to the same calendar. For instance, if I added that I had a hair cut after work via my iPhone, that he would see that on his iPad without having to add it himself.
Free apps are always a perk but if there are some paid apps you'd suggest I'm open to that too!
