Sorry if this is answered elsewhere. All my forum and Google searches turn up are issues related to iOS and/or Google and/or Exchange (none of which applies here).

I have three subscriptions in Calendar on my MBA: US Holidays (from Apple), Husker Football, and TripIt. Suddenly, they no longer refresh...? Here's the error that occurs when I try to manually refresh:

(So that it's searchable in the forums: "Your calendar couldn't be refreshed. The request for webcal://www. ... .ics failed.")

Crazy thing is that they work just fine on my iPhone and iPad, under the iCloud section in all locations.

Any idea what's going on...and, more important, how to fix the problem?

This is driving me nuts. Using the TripIt subscription, here's what I've tried:

1. Deleted the TripIt subscription from desktop Calendar app on MBA
• Doing so wiped it off iCloud, which subsequently wiped it off all iOS devices too

2. Re-entered a new subscription for TripIt on the desktop, under iCloud section
• TripIt subscription reappeared on iOS devices, via iCloud
• TripIt events still do not appear in desktop Calendar app

Obviously, the problem isn't with TripIt...iCloud is successfully updating/pushing the subscription to my iOS devices, so that's not the hiccup. The problem appears to be strictly with Calendar on the MPA (running 10.8.4). Only recently did I update to ML, thanks to some necessary legacy software, which makes me think this is an ML problem.

Anyone out there have insight (and hopefully, a solution) to share? Really, really need those TripIt events back on the laptop for work.

Thanks in advance for your wisdom!

:::bump:::

Now, none of my subscriptions are syncing---doesn't matter if they're under the iCloud section or the Subscriptions section in Calendar.

Anyone else having this problem? I haven't bumped up to Mavericks yet---still on Mountain Lion.

Sure hope someone has a little insight, since I rely heavily on a couple of these things.

Tried to resubscribe?

I had the same issue - all of a sudden my TripIt did not sync. Older entries further in the future were in Calendar, but new additions did not show up (they did on my iPhone and iPad as well as in Google Calendar).
I resubscribed to the direct feed (not via iCloud) and that did work. After that I deleted the old subscription and everything is OK now.
One thing though - the original TripIt entry was not a subscription, but a delegate - maybe that's why it worked for me.

Thanks for the suggestions, LarsDane. Just so I'm clear....

I assume this means you set the Location > On My Mac...? Same here, but still, nothing appears.

One thing though - the original TripIt entry was not a subscription, but a delegate - maybe that's why it worked for me.

Forgive me for not knowing this, but what, exactly, is a "delegate?" I'm not familiar with the term when it comes to Calendar subscriptions.

Subscription/delegate

Hi again,

1) Yes, the location is on my Mac - not iCloud. On iPads and iPhones I use the same iCal entries instead of syncing from iCloud (frankly I don't use iCloud at all, as Google Calendar in combination with my other subscriptions seems more flexible).
2) A delegate is a calendar, where you allow other user(s) to edit/add/delete entires on your behalf. Since I only have had limited success with this (my wife and I adding too many duplicate entries and then deleting everything) I have opted this out. If you add as a delegate the general idea is that you could edit entires directly from Calendar - but it does not work that way straight out of the box - that's why I ditched it.

BR Lars
