I have a gmail account (but don't use google calendar) and every time some one sends me a calendar invite it simply goes to my email as an attachment and there is no way to accept the invite or mark it on my calendar. This is driving me crazy!!

I have tried setting up my gmail account as a exchange but this did not work. I've tried using my icloud - no good.

I can't find a solution to this and it seems so dumb. I just want all my calendar invites to go to my calendar app - is this too much to ask?!

*frustrated*

Hmmm weird. Maybe you don't have something turned on.

Go to Settings - Mail/contacts/Calendars - Turn on New Invitation Alert

It's on :( thanks though it was worth a try!

Turn it off and then turn it back on. After that try Restoring your iPhone by holding down the home button and on/off button. Then ask a friend to send you a calendar event.
