Calendar invites.

I'm have a 5s running on the latest iOS 7 version. I have my work email set up on my phone through exchange. When I get a calendar invite and accept it through my outlook email, I have to accept it again in my calendar app to get the notification to go away.

Is there a way for it to sync automatically without having to accept it twice?

I've been noticing the same thing. It's not always the case, but about half the time (at least for me) it seems to be like that for some reason.
