Calendar notifications not working

I did a search and could not find anyone else with this problem.

I upgraded to ML from SL and the alerts don't work anymore.

I have notifications set to alerts in the system preferences. And the calendar set as usual.

But dang it....the alerts are not working :mad:

Any help would be most appreciated.
