Calendar on Mac & iPad

Hi, I have a bunch of color-coded calendars in the Calendar app on my Macbook Pro. I also have an iPad, and while I haven't been using the calendar app on it, I am thinking about starting. My understanding is that the one on my iPad should mirror the one on my MBP... but the one on my iPad is empty...

Is it a setting? What do I need to do to make this happen?

Is iCloud calendar sync set up? Check settings.

Is iCloud calendar sync set up? Check settings.

Yes, it is. I just discovered I'm having the same problem with Reminders. Everything else works fine.

Fixed! Turned off Calendar & Reminders syncing to iCloud last night... turned on this morning and voila! It worked. Now my questions is why Reminders syncs to Calendar and not reminders... That's just a tiny bit confusing.
