Calendar Question in regards to going back on dates

I was trying to look up a Calendar entry from 2003, however one annoying thing is I have to scroll through all the years, which I always thought was annoying but not sure there is a quicker way? is there ?

I usually wind up looking online at MobileMe, or using my MacBook only because there is no quick way to go back as far as I know

it is easier to scroll in list view. when you get where you want, just click month.
