Calendar stops syncing between MBA and iPhone

Hi guys,
I have problems with my default Calendar app in macOS. It stops syncing with my iPhone (6s) approx. once per month (so I need to turn off and on the calendar in iCloud settings, then it usually starts working again).
It is really frustrating and I have no idea why it is happening. Any suggestions?
I run the latest SW updates on both devices.

When that happens again, go to iCloud.com to access your calendar there. That will isolate whether the problem is on your iPhone or Mac. If everything you add to your iPhone shows up at iCloud.com but does not make it to the Mac, then the problem is between iCloud and the Mac (and vice versa, of course).

Easiest way to test is to add a "test" calendar event on each device, and see which makes its way to iCloud.com and from there to the other device.

If I remember correctly, the problem is between Mac and iCloud. The events were not uploaded to iCloud.
