Calendar sync no longer has "push" option

I recently upgrade a machine with a clean install of HS from Mountain Lion. I am syncing then built in OS calendar with my Google calendar. On my old install I had the option of syncing using "push", now the only options I have are timed schedule.

Is there anyway (hack) to get the push sync back?
