calendar / Task as HOMEPAGE on IPHONE

FIRST POST!

Been doing a lot of searching. Read a lot of posts here and other forums.
Having a very tough time finding an app or hack.
I use my phone principally as a calendar and task OR to-do device. In the past I have used PALM products for years.
**Is there no way to have my home page or opening page show calendar tasks etc instead of folders and programs?
Very discouraged with organizational options on my 3gs.

You could use lockinfo for your lockscreen.
 
Another vote for lockinfo. You can do EXACTLY this. Plus you can add weather, mail, sms, 2Do, etc.

Lockinfo has 3 possible sections. You can seperately enable each of them independently.

1. Lock Screen
2. Info Shade (android style, pull down)
3. Home Screen (what OP is asking for).

I have mine set up to do lock screen and info shade. I activate infoshade by swiping down from the top, or by pressing the home button while on the home screen.
 
Lockinfo will require jailbreaking your phone. Hopefully, you haven't updated to 4.3 yet?

oh. sorry. :( i didnt think i would need a hack for this. I just assumed there must be some app. Especially considering how many people left palm / handspring / treo devices for iphones.

my phone is JB - any other way to show tasks/calendar as the main or intro page?

If it is jailbroken why not just use lockinfo?

info shade is a transparent screen that slides down on top of anything you are doing (if you've used android, it's similar to the notifications drawer).

home screen makes the lockinfo become one of your home screens.

I reccomend 2Do as a task manager client.

well HomeScreen just means you can have the info(plugins) appear on the home screen, infoshade means its hidden and you have to make it appear by picking a hand gesture like swiping it down from the top of the screen
 
is there a to-do or task manager that will integrate into this lockinfo program?

Many thanks! How to activate info shade and home screen. The settings are pretty detailed and confusing.

Info shade:
settings > lockinfo > infoshade > activation (i have mine set to home button single press when springboard is visible, and swipe from status bar)

home screen
settings > lockinfo > homescreen > enabled > yes
it should show up between spotlight search and your first homescreen.

do you have a task manager or to-do list app? i got 2do, but cannot see it on my lockinfo.

I use Things for my todos.

You'll need to search in Cydia for the specific plugin for that app.

Or go to Settings > Lockinfo > Plugins > Get More Plugins and you can find what you're looking for.
