Calendar won't schedule repeating events.

I can schedule new events in Yosemite's version of Calendar, but when I attempt to schedule them to repeat as needed, the rainbow wheel spins at me for three or four seconds then Calendar shuts down and shows a long error message.

Anyone else suffer this problem?

Suggestions....anyone?
