Calender sync on iCloud

So how does this work....if I put an entry in my phones calender does it sync with my gmail outlook calender on my laptop and also to my iCalender on my laptop?

I'd like to put an entry in my phone and it woudl show up on both or if I put it on my iCalender it syncs to both without having to connect my phone via USB.

can someone please explain how this will work?

I know people with enterprise accounts or whatever it is can connct their outlook calender on their laptop to their phones as well. Is this the same concept now?

To answer your question, yes. When it is supported on the computer (It may come out on all at the same time) then it will sync it with all your computers and iOS devices.
