Calender synch?

Hey gurus, my wife would like to keep her calendar synched between her macbook, iphone, and ipad. What are some ways to do this?
I think I've heard google calendar does this but I'm not familiar with it.
What are my options here? thanks!

Google calendar works well. Mobileme, or soon to be iCloud, will work well as well.

does google calendar auto-sync between the different devices? i assume it requires a gmail account?

Macs ship with Ical. Ical will sync with iphone and Ipad.

I use google calendar to sync to my MBA and my iPhone. Pretty simple to set up on both devices, mostly just login and passwords. Just Google search any of the appropriate keywords and you'll find tutorials and tips on setup.

But does it auto sync between all the devices, including macbook?

Yes it does - I currently use it to sycn my work calendar between my iPad, MBP and Blackberry - and it myself and my girlfriend also share a calendar that syncs between her laptop, my blackberry and her iphone... so yes you can and it's all wireless and behind the scenes. It's also worth syncing your contacts with google so you always have a backup

I use iCal and via MobileMe I get my iPhone, iPad , MacBook Pro and Windows laptop all synced.

It's really useful when you want to be able to see multiple peoples' calendars without having access to their logins.
