Calibre dmg won't go away

I saw the light last fall & bought a MacBook Air. Updates come & install normally, except for friggin Calibre. Ejecting does not work, next time I go in, the finder folder with Applications & Calibre pops up. It will not go into the
Trash. Calibre's site does not help.

Please, laugh if you must at the newbie, but this is really annoying!

Did you try dragging it to the Trash?

Thank you, but I'd already read them prior to posting, d:. Stupid MS Office sends updates that don't have this problem! I was thinking maybe uninstalling, but Calibre has its fingers in some many files, I'm not sure what that will do.
