Hello

Is it normal the call app is in background when I unlock the phone to end a call? It makes more sense to have it in fullscreen as I have never put it in background while talking...

any way to keep it in foreground?

When you are on the lockscreen with the call information displayed at the top, instead of unlocking the phone, tap on that call information at the top and it should take you to the call screen (where you can end the call, among other things).

That is what I am doing to end a call. However, it doesnt make sense to me that call app is in background. When I unlock, call should already be in fullscreen and then I'd have to push end button.
