I have bought an iPod touch from an Apple Reseller on Friday. The iPid is faulty. The reseller is roughly 2 hours drive from my house. I picked it up from this store, as I was in that neck of the woods becuase of work. Now, can I just call up Apple Technical Support (08708760753), and get it exchanged by sending them the one I have, and they sending me a good one back?

Unfortunately, I would think that the reseller is first in line. That's where the receipt for the sale comes from... and that's who the contract of sale is made with.

Just out of curiosity, in what way is the iPod touch faulty?

So, If I rang Apple Technical, they wouldn't give me an exchange?

I doubt it. No harm in trying but don't get your hopes up, especially as they have no evidence of purchase nor can they see the fault.

If I buy a faulty toaster, I take it back to where I purchased it from.
