Call Conferencing!:@!!! HELP

Hey,

im having a VERY annoying problem with my iPhone and was wondering if you guys could help me. I have this iPhone which lets me swap calls and can do "call waiting" but it won't let me "merge" 2 calls. it tries to but never actually connects them. Is anyone else having this problem. i'm in the UK with a t-mobile contract...i dont know if its worth mention but ive have a PAYG sim that i also use and sync my itunes with, i do not sync my contract sim with my itunes.

Call merging requires the network to support it.
If your not using O2 in the Uk then it'll never work.
