Call controls during Lock Screen - Gone?

FaceTime and 3rd party apps like WhatsApp would show call controls like mute, hang up etc on the Lock Screen, while in a call.
Now it seems the best I can do is to renter the app by clicking the green bar, unlock the phone, find the call controls inside the app. This makes muting/unmuting very painful.
